Hello! I am Andrea and I am a wedding photographer based in Portland, Oregon who specializes in capturing honest, artistic and timeless portraits and love stories. I live for authenic and raw moments like when couples see each other for the first time on their wedding day, a parent’s subtle cry during the ceremony and a sweet kiss when no one is looking. My clients love to have fun and laugh and we share a common love for romance. I strive to capture moments that you’ll never get back in a way that will allow you to remember them beautifully forever. I service the local area in Portland as well as Seattle, Spokane, Bend and other parts of the U.S and worldwide.
Back in December my husband and I spent a glorious child-free week in Kauai, Hawaii. This was our first vacation without our son and it was so amazing. It was a lot of fun to just relax and enjoy the island just the two of us. We spent the week staying in Princeville on the north side of the island but bounced around all over during the days. The highlight was taking a sailing tour and seeing hundreds of dolphins in the water. So magical! Here are some photos from our adventures on this gorgeous island. I’d love to come
In 2017 I decided to do a 365 day photo project of my son Sammy. He turned one last January and is constantly changing so I thought it would be fun to document that. I am honestly stunned that I finished. I didn’t really have a plan other than just capturing him in his element, day-to-day, and I figured it would fizzle out when I got busy with weddings in Spring. Instead it became part of my routine and I am so glad I did it. He’s such a fun little guy and I already miss taking his photo every
Choosing my best of 2017 wedding photos was super hard! I witnessed so many beautiful couples get married last year and it was such an honor to capture every one of their amazing days. I originally picked around 600 photos and that was insane so I narrowed it down to just over 250 and it still feels like a ton, but I love every one of them. Thank you to all my fabulous clients who supported me this past year and trusted me enough to photograph your most special days. It means the world to me that you allowed me
I am so excited and honored to have two of the 2017 weddings I photographed in Portland featured in Portland Bride and Groom’s Winter/Spring 2018 magazine! This past wedding season was so amazing and I worked with so many beautiful couples so I am over the moon to see two of them in real live print! First up is Kelly and Mark’s eclipse wedding at Youngberg Hill. Their wedding was so spectacular and meaningful and I am so happy and excited for them! Second is Nicole and Nic’s Harry Potter themed wedding at the Aerie. I love their wedding so
I am so excited to photograph Amanda and Jordan’s wedding next year! We had a lot of fun exploring Hoyt Arboretum and Cathedral Park last month for their engagement photos. It was pouring rain at Cathedral Park but that didn’t stop these guys! Amanda and Jordan are so adorable and their wedding will be so much fun. Congrats you two!
I am so excited to be Megan and Brandon’s wedding photographer in Portland next summer! We had a lot of fun taking their urban Portland engagement photos around the Pearl district and Eastbank Esplanade last week on a gorgeous fall day. Megan and Brandon are so sweet and I am so happy for them!
Adam and Brad are such a sweet and special couple and I have been looking forward to being their wedding photographer at Coopers Hall in Portland for so long. Their weekend kicked off with a welcome party at their gorgeous home in Portland on Friday night and it was so much fun meeting their guests before the big day. On Saturday we started out with portraits at Hoyt Arboretum and Eastbank Esplanade before heading over to Coopers Hall for a first look with their precious son and to get married. Every detail at Adam and Brad’s wedding was so gorgeous
Elly and Eugene were married at the gorgeous Oregon Golf Club last weekend and their wedding was such a stunner! After a hot and dry summer, Oregon saw it’s first significant rain last week and of course it continued right through Elly and Eugene’s big day. They moved their ceremony inside to the reception area and it was still so gorgeous and meaningful. It is such good luck to have rain on your wedding day anyway! Elly is the most beautiful bride and I am so happy for these two.
I have been waiting for Nicole and Nic’s Harry Potter themed wedding at the Aerie at Eagle Landing all year! Their day was so magical and full of the most beautiful and thoughtful details. Any Harry Potter fan will be so excited to see this wedding!! I am so happy for these two and cannot wait to share all of the photos with them. It was super hard to pick preview images for this post because there were so many great moments and details throughout the day but here are a few of my favorites. Their full post will be
On Saturday, I had the opportunity to photograph a very special hot air balloon ride. Last month I was contacted by the Wish of a Lifetime organization to photograph one of their wishes to a 90-year-young lady named Gerda who has always dreamed of riding in a hot air balloon. Her wish came true on Saturday at Vista Balloon Adventures when she and her companion Kathleen soared high up in the sky at sunrise. Gerda grew up in Germany during WWII and endured several difficulties during this time. She often felt restrained by the circumstances surrounding the war. After immigrating
