I’ve outlined my process below. It is important to me that your experience is fun and relaxing – allowing you to enjoy every minute of your amazing day. Every client is a priority and I love making sure my couples are taken care of.

From the moment we first chat to the day your final images are delivered, I am always available for you every step of the way. I am eager to partner with you to create a wonderful experience and look forward to capturing beautiful memories for you in a way that you will remember forever.

01. Initial Consultation

Start by sending me an inquiry! We’ll set up a call or in-person consultation so I can learn all about you and how to make your wedding day amazing. I want to hear about how you met, what you love to do together and what makes you smile. I promise that you will leave the meeting laughing at my ridiculous jokes and even more excited about your big day! If you’re interested in moving forward, I’ll send a complete photography contract for your consideration. To reserve your date, I require a signed contract and retainer.

02. Planning

We’ll stay in touch every step of the way. Once your contract is signed, I’ll send an extensive day-of questionnaire a month ahead of time, followed by a check-in phone call the week before. I often work directly with wedding planners, but I’ll always stay in touch with you as well. Keep your questions and requests coming! I’m available by phone or email from the moment the contract is signed until you’re happy with your delivered photos.

03. The Big Day

I can’t wait for your wedding day! We’ll make sure to capture everything on your photo list—all the ceremony and reception moments, candids, family photos, the works. I provide direction and posing as necessary, otherwise I’m always on the hunt for the next amazing shot.

04. Receiving Your Photos

You’ll receive a sneak peek within 72 hours. I typically deliver 1,000-1,500 polished images for a 6-8 hour wedding and guarantee a minimum of 100 photos per event hour. Due to seasonal pressures my contract allows up to 12 weeks for full photo delivery but my typical turnaround is closer to 4-6 weeks. Once ready, you’ll have access to a full digital photo gallery as well as the opportunity to order albums and prints. Make sure to share the links with family and friends!

It’s most important to find an experienced photographer with whom you feel comfortable, regardless of venue. If there are any specific concerns or complexities about a venue, I will in rare cases do a pre-event walk-through.

I believe in stunning, artistic, intimate wedding photography with a timeless, unrehearsed feel that evokes enough emotion to last a lifetime. I want your real personality, your raw emotions, your candid moments. Your comfort and confidence make the photo, not forced poses or trendy gimmicks. I use Canon camera and lighting systems, which are serviced by licensed professionals and regularly upgraded as new models are released. I typically bring three camera bodies (two main and a backup,) multiple memory cards (including duplicates and backups), as well as all necessary lenses and lighting.

Not to a photographer who understands their equipment! I’ve shot in everything from summer fields to cloistered medieval chapels. Every lighting situation is a little unique, and my job is to find a solution that captures your event perfectly.

I’ve handled downpours in August, ridden a Sno-Cat through a mountain blizzard, faced off against heatwaves and windstorms. Portland, Oregon is a four-season city in a region surrounded by coastlines, desert, mountains, fields, and forests. Bring it on, Mother Nature!

Every image is professionally curated and edited prior to delivery. I never send an image that hasn’t received the highest level of scrutiny.

Please tell your talented friend or relative to stow the camera and enjoy the ceremony! Wedding photography involves more than just a keen eye, I need immediate and unobstructed access to important moments that may last only seconds. Besides, do you want your guests holding up cameras or phones in every one of your photos? For this reason many couples now opt for a “device-free” event.

Most couples can expect to see their photos in no more than 12 weeks. This is due to seasonal pressures and the time needed to carefully curate and edit every delivered photo. Most receive their photos in less time. Please see your contract for further details.

Please download, save, and backup your images to safe, permanent cloud storage. I never delete images and archive all photos after the download period expires but cannot guarantee permanent retention. Contact me as soon as possible if your images are ever lost.

Not at all! Many of my clients are not able to meet prior to the wedding. I’m always available by phone, email, and videoconferencing. My highest priority is your comfort, and I’m happy to work with you according to your needs.

If you’re forced to move your wedding, you are welcome to move the deposit forward to any eligible date. Unfortunately, I will not be able to return retainers for cancelled weddings.
