First, customer service and experience are two of the most important things to consider when choosing wedding dress shops in Portland. Most likely your first activity as an engaged person is shopping for attire. You want to make sure that you have fun, feel listened to and leave feeling good about yourself and the dress you picked out!
Next, budget is important to determine. You must decide if you are want to purchase a dress off the rack at a discount or if you have funds for a more expensive custom designer gown. Off the rack dresses come as is (imperfections and all) but you can typically alter them to fit your needs. Your dress budget should include money for the dress, accessories, alterations and shoes. On average, couples spend between 5-10% of their total wedding budget on attire.
Most dress shops offer discounted and designer gowns and some even only offer secondhand items. Definitely take a look at the salon’s mission and offerings when deciding where to make an appointment.
Finally, a dress shop’s inclusiveness is extremely important when choosing a wedding salon in Portland. You want to feel comfortable and accepted while trying on the most important piece of clothing you’ve worn to date.
